Stability is measured, not assumed
A stability study tracks selected attributes under defined storage conditions. Researchers may monitor purity, identity, appearance, moisture or other compound-specific measures at scheduled time points.
Accelerated and real-time studies
Accelerated studies use elevated temperature or other stress to reveal possible degradation pathways sooner. Real-time studies observe material under intended storage conditions. Accelerated results are informative, but they do not automatically replace real-time data.
Freeze-thaw design
Freeze-thaw experiments expose matched samples to a controlled number of cycles, followed by analysis against an unstressed control. Temperature, cycle duration, container, concentration and assay method should be documented so results can be interpreted and reproduced.
